Sittenfeld shares how her experiences as a student at the Massachusetts boarding school Groton, as a teacher, and as a journalist have all contributed to the writing of this book. Sittenfeld describes what it was like to study fiction writing at the Writers’ Workshop. She also recounts the publication process for this novel."
