Painting of two men having a conversation and one crying.
Artwork by Jack Matthew Heard

I wait to see Dr. Stone

I wait . . . wait for my turn

I can’t wait to go home

I see it was my time
I am hungry, eager to learn

I wait to see Dr. Stone

I wrote this rhyme
To take a turn

I can’t wait to go home

I have committed a crime
Wheels start to churn

I wait to see Dr. Stone

As I discharge my dime
Candles start to burn

I can’t wait to go home

Fact: I wasted no time
Now: a life to return

I wait to see Dr. Stone

I can’t wait to go home
