Photo of a beach bike selling beach floats along the shoreline.

It often comes to my mind,
As I think of days gone by,

The things we pay the most for,

But, alas, I exert a sigh.

I, finally, decided a MEMORY,
Is the highest priced thing we have to keep,

One that is Happy,

Or, one that makes you Weep.

Most of our necessities we pay for,
With currency and such,

We go ahead and buy them,

And, don’t stop to think about it much.

But, a MEMORY of a LOVE AFFAIR,
Or, AN INCIDENT WHICH CAUSES STRIFE,

THESE THINGS WE PAY THE MOST FOR,

WITH A PORTION OF OUR LIFE.
