From the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine Examined Life Conference:
Our priority is the health and safety of the Examined Life community, particularly those in high risk categories or with underlying medical conditions. After discussion among ourselves and with leadership at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine we have decided that the 2020 Examined Life Conference will take place virtually.
We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open! The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine will host our 14th annual conference focusing on the links between medicine and the arts virtually this year with a la carte registration – this means you can build your own individualized conference program.
In a relaxed, virtual atmosphere, we will offer skill-building workshops and inspiring presentations from people working to forge the integration of arts and health. You’ll leave with a new appreciation not only of your art, but of your work (and even your struggles).
A-la-carte Registration: Due to the novel coronavirus, 2020 will feature a series of virtual sessions, and you’ll build your own program by selecting individual events to attend. Opening weekend (Oct. 8, 9, and 10) will feature 9 sessions; more sessions are available throughout October and November.
