Diablo Cody |
Diablo Cody, now the Oscar-winning screenwriter of the film "Juno", the coming-of-age story about a teenager's unplanned pregnancy, once fostered her writing career as a student at University of Iowa.
While in Iowa City, Cody (real name Brook Busey, now Busey-Hunt) hosted a late-night KRUI radio show, worked as an administrative director for KRUI, and spent most of her time writing. She decided to attend the UI because she had always dreamed about the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. After graduating from the Iowa, she moved to Minneapolis, where she got married, typed ad copy and later penned the screenplay for "Juno".
