| Khaled Khalifa |
Khaled Khalifa (IWP fellow, 2007) became one of six authors shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction 2008, a prestigious prize that rewards excellence in contemporary Arabic creative writing. His recent novel, In Praise of Hate, was chosen from more than 130 titles submitted from eighteen Arab countries.
Khalifa participated in the University of Iowa's International Writing Program in 2007. His many honors include an award from the Ismaiiliyah International Festival and an Award for Best Script from the Valencia Film Festival. He is currently working on his fourth novel, A Parallel Life.
