Words Without Borders, an online magazine showcasing International literature, features the Iowa International Writing Program's 40th anniversary this month, offering a selection of online poetry, fiction, translations and reviews by participants of the IWP.
The series of features opens with, "We salute the Iowa International Writing Program as it celebrates forty years of hosting international writers in residence. Each fall the world comes to Iowa, as writers from around the globe converge to write, talk, and soak up literary culture."
Highlighted in this edition are the featured works of 2007 program participants István László G., Hana Andronikova and Alex Epstein (translated by Becka Mara McKay), to name a few, as well as a piece by program director Christopher Merrill.
